List of Cool Links
If only I had something cool to put here other than the pretty chill Sadgirl.online, one of the many super-cool sites that pushed me to make this thing.
Edit: It's been a bit since making this part and this is still a pretty cool site. The site has been archived and will no longer be updated but it's still eternally helpful.
This layout was inspired by Linwood, which is also stated in the footer, but I wanna make it more prominent here. The site's pretty cool and they've changed the layout to be even cooler.
The character portions (the actual information parts) are inspired/taken from Limegreen's wikitable layout. When wondering if you should care about the information you're putting into a story, it helps to look more like a wiki.
Wonderful inspiration over at melonland and, in addition, Melon's House. This dude set off to inspire the internet to be cooler and more inspired and I truly wanna support it. Also, their house is crazy. There are some cracked sites on neocities and this one's top five for me. If you go, check out the zine too. There's only one issue, at the moment, but it's pretty informative.
If you love cute lil gifs, well I've got a site for you! Pixel Sea has got a nice selection of cute lil gifs for your everyday needs! I'm only putting it here because MoMG and that other one get more press than this one, and it's pretty darn cool.
Just found out about this one and if you're reading this in the future, I still 'just found out about this one.' masterWiki is a cool collection of a bunch of celeb tips that I've never had an interest in knowing until the moment I found out they were available for free. This is apparently available from MSCHF who really has a sick-looking site. After going to it, I'm still not exactly sure what's happening but, it's wild.
Here's a small one: Pikimov is a site like Photopea that enables you to edit stuff like After Effects. The main reason for my promotion is that, like Photopea and CodePen, it's a browser-based editor that doesn't require a login for you to make things. And if you're like me (someone who stands and sits a a computer mostly in yellow standby mode), sometimes you get the itch to create and have limits to your media (can't bring a sketchbook or journal to jot in without looking off-task). It currently only works in Chrome and Edge so any Firefox girlies are left out as of early September but what a great time to try limited use of alternative browsers!
Sneaking in cobalt tools, a non-bloated video downloader. Looks great!
Do you like soulsborne games and their memes and want to force their agenda on your unsuspecting loved ones? On the FromSoftware Macro Creator, you can create the text for your favorite ui features of your favorite games. Wanna name a flask mommy's milk? You wanna tell the world you completed a chore with a dishes washed screen? You can do it and more on this apparently subreddit-run site.
And if you're on the other side of gaming, here's a Minecraft achievement generator, where you can make your own achievements in the same vein.
If you're a fan of Old School Runescape (Runescape circa 2007) and immune to the immense trolly nature of netizens who visit 4chan, try out Vidyascape. I've recently discovered they have an in-browser version and that just tops off the nostalgia for me. But remember: even if it seems genuine, take pretty much everything others say in the game with a grain of salt.
